Labour – rebuilding Linslade for the many, not the few…

Christine Sheppard
Having retired, Christine moved with her husband from London to join her son and family in Leighton Buzzard nearly five years ago. Before that, she had a long working life in the East End of London working in the NHS; and many community development projects representing people’s issues to local authorities and the NHS.
Since moving, she has helped set up and run the much-needed Leighton Buzzard Voluntary Patient Transport (LBVPT) service and is a volunteer with Healthwatch Central Bedfordshire, currently sitting on the Patient Participation Group Network here in the town.
Christine is active in South Beds Friends of the Earth with a particular interest in reducing local plastic pollution and working with others to reverse the effects of climate warming. She has been a Labour Party member all her adult life.
